Leinster seal deals with Carr and Browne

Joe Schmidt happy with the business Leinster have done today.

LEINSTER RUGBY HAVE today announced the signing of winger Fionn Carr and lock Damian Browne from Connacht.

Both players have agreed one-year deals with the Heineken Cup finalists; they join their new side in the summer.

“We are delighted to announce the signings of two Irish qualified players in Damian and Fionn and we believe that both players have the potential to make an impression over the coming season,” Leinster Coach Joe Schmidt told the province’s website.

“I know how enthusiastic both players are about linking up this summer, in Fionn’s case his arrival will be a homecoming of sorts as he is a graduate from the Leinster Academy.

Carr, 25, is the highest try scorer in Conacht’s history with 34 tries since he left Leinster in 2008.
