Offaly, Kildare, Louth and Longford advance to Leinster MFC quarter-finals

Kildare were big winners over Carlow.

THERE WERE WINS for Offaly, Louth, Longford and Kildare in the first round of the Leinster MFC today.

Cian Johnston posted 0-7 while Cian Farrell added four as the Faithful eased past a poor Westmeath outfit on a scoreline of 0-13 to 1-4.

Westmeath found net through a late goal from Luke Price but the game was long over by that stage.

Ben Mooney and John Gallagher scored goals in Louth’s 2-11 to 0-15 win over Laois after extra-time.

David Kelly and Jack Barrett scored 2-3 between them as Kildare ran out convincing 2-13 to 0-9 winers against Carlow, while Longford were 1-19 to 3-8 victors over Wicklow.
