Murphy, McFadden and Kearney all back in training for Leinster

But it’s not clear if they’ll be fit to play this weekend.

BIT BY BIT, Leinster’s injury crisis is easing, according to the province’s latest medical update.

While absentees like Marty Moore, Sean O’Brien and Cian Healy continue to be felt, head coach Matt O’Connor may be able to call on three Irish internationals against Edinburgh this weekend.

The province say that Jordi Murphy (shoulder), Fergus McFadden (ankle), Dave Kearney (calf) and Shane Jennings (hamstring) have all been training with the squad this week.

The blues moved to rule out the possibility of Jennings featuring on Friday, but insist that the trio of Murphy, McFadden and Kearney could make the cut depending on an assessment tomorrow.

There was further positive news for Leo Cullen’s back-row options after Dan Leavy successfully came through Leinster A duty on his return from a knee injury.
