FLANKER SHANE JENNINGS says Leinster will use a testing festive period of Pro12 fixtures to regain their confidence after the shell-shock of a home defeat to Northampton Saints.
Leinster were expected to confirm their dominance in Pool 1 of the Heineken Cup with a weekend win over Saints but were beaten 18-9 at the Aviva Stadium. The English side out-battled and outplayed Matt O’Connor’s men to leave the pool wide open.
Jennings, who came into the Leinster team as a late replacement for Sean O’Brien, admitted the start of this week had dealt with the massive disappointment of relinquishing control of their pool. An away trip to Edinburgh awaits on Friday evening and Jennings is desperate for an away win.
