It was a family affair for the Shefflins as brothers Henry and Paul feature in Ballyhale triumph

There is something about Shefflins and winning medals.

BALLYHALE SHAMROCKS WON the Leinster club hurling championship final against Kilcormac-Killoughey after extra time and naturally, they were euphoric after the final whistle as they got their hands on the cup.

Captain TJ Reid hoisted the trophy but there was a special moment afterwards as brothers Henry and Paul Shefflin celebrated together.

Paul was wing-back on the team while his more famous brother was picked at full forward.

Ballyhale’s win put yet another medal into the pocket of the legendary Shefflin, and as his side now progress to the All-Ireland series, it means he will delay his inter-county retirement decision for a little longer.

It wasn’t all smiles after the game though, you can see how coming so close to victory was especially gutting for Kilcormac-Killoughey goalkeeper Conor Slevin.
