Snapshot - Leeds GAA club Hugh O'Neill's snap up new signing Dean Windass

He’d be a good lad to put in at the edge of the square.

GAA CLUBS ABROAD get an influx of players every season and Leeds based club Hugh O’Neill’s are no exception with their recent signings.

The club have announced on their Facebook page the additions of Darren Burke and Blain Ruane along with the high-profile capture of former Hull City and Bradford City striker Dean Windass.

Windass, pictured below with club members Thomas Duffy and Tom Condon, hit over 200 goals in his soccer career and despite admitting to being a Gaelic football novice, he is hopeful that his skills are transferable.

“I have never played Gaelic football before but hopefully I can pick up the skills soon and hit the onion bag as many times as I have done with previous clubs”.

Whether Windass will be put in at the edge of the square for Hugh O’Neill’s for the new season remains to be seen.
