“I have never been involved in such an amazing game” said Darren Ferguson, “But all credit to my players for their sensational comeback. It’s brilliant to get six goals, it would have been nice if we hadn’t conceded four.”
Jon Parkin netted a hat-trick for Preston, including the opener but Leeds hit back with goals from two from Davide Somma, Luciano Becchio and Alex Bruce.
Keith Treacy, Iain Hume and Callum Davidson all scored, along with Jon Parkin’s other two goals, to cap a famous comeback for Preston.
