IT’S BEEN A seminal year for Richie Hogan since his switch into the Cats midfield. The Hurler of the Year in waiting won his only previous Allstar in 2011 at corner forward but his displays in Kilkenny’s engine room guarantee him a second award.
Hogan’s midfield partner, Conor Fogarty, is the favourite to join him although Lee Chin will push him hard and could nick second midfield position.
Limerick’s Paul Browne and James Ryan were rewarded for excellent seasons with a nomination as was Tipperary midfielder Shane McGrath, but it’s likely Fogarty and Chin will fight it out to join Hogan on the team.
