They slagged off LeBron and called him a 'sissy' - so he shut them up by scoring 35 points

It’s all square as the Heat and the Spurs head to Miami for Game 3 on Tuesday night.

LEBRON JAMES TOOK a lot of flak when Miami lost Game 1.

Last night, he took the plaudits as his brilliant 35 points helped the Heat to a 98-96 win over the San Antonio Spurs and levelled the NBA Finals at one game apiece.

Three days after faulty air conditioning and stifling temperatures forced him to leave the game with cramps — and opened him up to some pretty harsh taunts from fans on social media — LeBron showed why he is so often the difference between Miami winning and losing.

He made just one shot from four in the first quarter but finished with 17 from 25 from the field, including three threes, and 10 rebounds.

“He has an incredible way to put his fingerprints on a game,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said as the series heads to Miami.

For the Spurs 38-year-old Tim Duncan led the way again, posting his 157th career playoff double-double, which ties him for the most all-time with Magic Johnson.

Game 3 is on Tuesday night (2am Wednesday Irish time).
