LeBron James has just signed a lifetime deal with Nike worth an insane amount of money

That’s retirement sorted.

LEBRON JAMES HAS signed a new lifetime contract with Nike, which is reportedly the largest single-athlete deal in the company’s 44-year history.

It is also the first time the sports clothing giant have officially given a lifetime deal to any athlete, although its worth has not been disclosed.

The 30-year-old signed a seven-year, $90 million contract with Nike before he was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003. In 2010, James re-signed with Nike and reportedly earned as much as $30 million annually.

The NBA megastar has had an endorsement deal with the athletic apparel giant since he graduated from high school.

According to ESPN, the basketball superstar’s latest deal ‘easily surpasses’ the $300 million contract Kevin Durant signed with Nike last year.

”We can confirm that we have agreed to a lifetime relationship with LeBron that provides significant value to our business, brand and shareholders,” Nike said in a statement.

”We have already built a strong LeBron business over the past 12 years, and we see the potential for this to continue to grow throughout his playing career and beyond.”

James’ deal with Nike is the latest in a series of successful business ventures. Last week, he landed a $15.8 million investment from Time Warner Cable for his media company.
