Here's how the League of Ireland table looks if you combine the last 30 seasons

Who’s on top of the league?

WITH 17 LEAGUE titles, Shamrock Rovers can rightly lay claim to be Irish football’s most successful club.

But the stats show that it is their Dublin rivals St Pat’s who have arguably been the most consistent side in the modern era.

Unsurprisingly Pat’s and Bohemians, the only two ever-presents in the top flight, top the table.

The Saints have more Premier Division wins, goals and points than any other side — although Shelbourne and the now defunct Sporting Fingal had better win ratios.
