Star Tipperary hurler Lar Corbett denies he's part of Lotto-winning syndicate

The winning ticket for Wednesday’s draw was sold in Thurles.

ALL STAR HURLER Lar Corbett has this morning dismissed reports that he has won a share of Wednesday’s €10.6million Lotto jackpot.

The Tipperary forward is currently in New York with a Gaelic Players Association delegation, which is helping to rebuild sports facilities in Hurricane Sandy-hit Breezy Point.

But this morning, after increasing speculation in Thurles, Corbett moved to halt the rumours.

“I would like to put a stop to all the stories about the €10.6 million it is not TRUE,” the Thurles Sarsfields man tweeted.

Yesterday, when asked by reporters in New York, Corbett insisted he didn’t know anything about a lottery win but said he and his business partner often enter the draw together. Corbett co-owns and runs a bar in Thurles.
