A FEW WEEKS ago, we told you about a Waterford man who posted some highly amusing notices around the city and went extremely viral.
Stuck this important notice up in town today. pic.twitter.com/3N5Izmhkiu— Sir Michael (@Michael1979) June 27, 2015

And guess who replied?
LANCE ARMSTRONG!
First of all, he gave Sir Michael some advice.
@Michael1979 may wanna air up that rear tire first.— Lance Armstrong (@lancearmstrong) July 30, 2015

Before sending this follow-up tweet that is intended to be a joke, but still kind of reads somewhat menacingly?
@Michael1979 it'll be a level playing field. Just like the old days.— Lance Armstrong (@lancearmstrong) July 30, 2015

For his part, Sir Michael then invited Armstrong to meet him and included one important caveat: “No cheating this time.”
.@lancearmstrong Nice try but according to a book I read, it's not about the bike. Meet me here at 7pm and we'll race. No cheating this time— Sir Michael (@Michael1979) July 30, 2015

Lance has not replied, but we’re strongly holding out hope that he pops over to Waterford for an impromptu bike race.
