Glenelly celebrate Ulster ladies glory.

Stunning ten-minute hat-trick earns 'dummy king' Mugsy's approval

Glenelly’s Siobhan Sheerin scored this brilliant treble on Sunday.

WE’VE SEEN SOME decent hat-tricks in our time but this one is right up there with the very best.

Glenelly’s Siobhan Sheerin was on fire for Glenelly in Sunday’s Ulster intermediate ladies football final against Donaghmoyne in Killyclogher.

And her exploits have been hailed by former Tyrone star Owen ‘Mugsy’ Mulligan, who scored that memorable solo goal against Dublin in 2005.

Sheerin throws shimmies and dummies that Mulligan would have been proud of in this brilliant video:

Remarkably, it was full-forward Sheerin’s third treble in as many games.

“When I got the second goal I could hear the crowd shouting for a hat-trick so I had to go for it,” Siobhan said after the game.

Here’s a reminder of Mulligan’s cracker against Dublin over ten years ago:

Sheerin’s heroics have also earned the ‘Mugsy’ seal of approval:

‘Thanks for a loan of your helmet but I didn’t want to wear it on my hand!’
