Laurent Koscielny is spending £600,000 on a flailing accordion factory

The building, which was founded in 1919, is located in Correze, the star’s home town.

ARSENAL DEFENDER LAURENT Koscielny is not short of cash, as his latest move demonstrates.

Koscielny is donating £600,000 out of his hard-earned wages, in an attempt to save a flailing accordion factory.

The building, which was founded in 1919 and is France’s oldest accordion factory, is located in Correze, Koscielny’s home town.

The factory went into receivership last December and it is believed that the local mayor, Bernard Combes, got in touch with the 28-year-old star and persuaded him to contribute to the cause.

Koscielny reportedly earns £2.6m a year, so it’s unlikely that this generous donation will impact on his finances too severely.
