Kimbo Slice takes out 51-year-old Ken Shamrock with 1st round TKO

The pair met for the headline fight at Bellator 138 last night.

SEVEN YEARS AFTER they had originally been scheduled to fight, the main event at last night’s Bellator 138: Unfinished Business pitted Kimbo Slice against Ken Shamrock.

The two MMA veterans were in line to face off back in 2008, but Shamrock, known during his time in the WWF as ‘The World’s Most Dangerous Man’, suffered a cut in the warm-up and was replaced by Seth Petruzelli.

Slice lost that night and hasn’t fought in five years since suffering defeat to Matt Mitrione at UFC 113. Former UFC Superfight champion and Hall of Famer Shamrock, meanwhile, was putting the gloves back on having retired in 2010.

Now 51, Shamrock began strongly against Slice, ten years his junior, and looked to have the fight wrapped up in the first round after applying a rear naked choke. However, the submission never came and Slice rose to his feet before earning victory via TKO with a right hand.

‘I guarantee we’re going to Ireland this year,’ says UFC’s European boss

Rousey and McGregor are big fans so why is nobody talking about the UFC’s other female champion?
