Kilkenny, Waterford and Dublin name strong sides for pivotal fixtures

JJ Delaney return for the Cats, Kevin Moran will captain the Deise and Conal Keaney leads the Dubs.

KILKENNY WELCOME BACK both JJ delaney and Jackie Tyrrell into their full-back line for Sunday’s crucial league clash with Cork.

Conor Fogarty continues to replace the injured Paul Murphy whilst Michael Fennelly, who came through last weekend’s tie with Clare unscathed, again partners Lester Ryan at midfield.

Walter Walsh, who was introduced late in the Ennis game, retains his place as does Ger Aylward.

Richie Power and Michael Rice drop down to the subs bench.

Throw-in at Nowlan Park this Sunday is 3pm and the Cats will be looking to continue their recent upturn in hurling fortunes.

Dublin’s Stephen Hiney starts his first intercounty game in almost a year since suffering a cruciate injury in last year’s Allianz League while Ryan O’Dwyer and Oisin Gough also makes their first appearances of the season.

Conal Keaney has recovered from the injury that kept him out of the game with Wexford while there is a first league start for his Ballyboden St Enda’s clubmate Niall McMorrow.
