Kilkenny and Tipperary's replay will be in three weeks' time

Kilkenny and Tipp played out a cracking draw in Croke Park today.

KILKENNY AND TIPPERARY will need a second game to separate them after an epic 3-22 to 1-28 draw in today’s All-Ireland hurling final. Tipperary had a late free to win the game but instead the two sides will meet again in Croke Park at 5pm on Saturday 27 September.

Unbelievably, this will be the third straight year that the All-Ireland hurling final will go to a replay, with Kilkenny vs Galway in 2012 and Cork vs Clare last year both ending in a draw.

Also, be prepared for a deluge of “Will the replay be in Limerick?” jokes.
