Here's the Kilkenny senior hurling championship quarter-final draw

The meeting of Clara and Ballyhale Shamrocks is a tasty tie.

THE DRAW FOR the quarter-finals of the Kilkenny senior hurling championship was made this evening, with the meeting of Clara and Ballyhale Shamrocks the standout tie of the round.

Clara, the 2015 winners, will meet the All-Ireland club winners from the same year for a place in the last four in what is a repeat of the 2014 county decider.

Defending champions O’Loughlin Gaels will face Erins Own while seven-time winners Carrickshock continue their campaign against James Stephens, who won the last of their nine county titles in 2011.

The fourth quarter-final tie sees Dicksboro host Mullinavat, with the games scheduled to be played over the weekend of 30 September and 1 October.

Kilkenny SHC quarter-final draw:

  • Carrickshock v James Stephens
  • O’Loughlin Gaels v Erins Own
  • Clara v Ballyhale
  • Dicksboro v Mullinavat
