DESPITE SEEING LIMERICK dominate for long periods of the game, it was Brian Cody’s Kilkenny who emerged on top in today’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship semi-final, booking their 13th final berth in 16 seasons.
Goals from Richie Hogan and Eoin Larkin proved decisive for Kilkenny but the contribution of Colin Fennelly (0-4) and defending of Paul Murphy were just as crucial.
For Limerick, Shane Dowling (0-7) and Declan Hannon (0-5) hardly deserved to be on the losing side while Seamus Hickey show’d just how good a hurler he is despite terrible conditions.
