REIGNING ALL-IRELAND camogie champions Kilkenny will face Galway once again following the draw for the group stages of the 2017 championship.
The Cats, who defeated Cork in this year’s decider back in September to claim their first All-Ireland in 22 years, had finished as group runners-up to the Tribeswomen earlier in the year.
That meant Kilkenny were forced into a do-or-die quarter-final battle with Offaly.
But Ann Downey’s side got through that before gaining their revenge on Galway in a two-point semi-final victory in Thurles which booked their place at Croke Park.
Now, the rivalry is set to be renewed in the new year.
Meanwhile, Cork and Wexford will also face each other once more in Group 2. The Rebelettes will also sample some provincial rivalry with Tipperary and Limerick in the mix too.

But it will be quite a while before the action gets underway. The first round of fixtures have been pencilled in for Saturday, 10 June next year.
