KIERAN DONAGHY IS expected to be fit for Kerry’s McGrath Cup quarter-final following a scan on his injured knee.
The Kingdom face UCC in Killarney on Sunday afternoon but there were doubts about the fitness of Donaghy who limped off towards the end of the season opener against IT Tralee last weekend.
The Austin Stacks man went for a “precautionary scan”, Kerry said last night, and was given the all-clear when no damage was found.
If Donaghy does line out in Fitzgerald Stadium this weekend, it will be his last appearance in green and gold until the beginning of March as he is getting married later this month and will miss the opening two rounds of the National Football League.
