THE OAKLAND RAIDERS are set to lose star pass rusher Khalil Mack on the eve of the new season after reportedly agreeing a trade with the Chicago Bears.
ESPN reports that the specifics of the deal to take Mack to Chicago are still being finalised, with the Raiders initially setting the price of any deal at two first-round draft picks.
Mack, a three-time Pro Bowler and NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2016, has been involved in a standoff with the Raiders this summer as he held out for an improved contract.
“No way,” Raiders quarterback Derek Carr tweeted as the first reports circulated.
