Khabib: locked in the kimura for third-round stoppage against Johnson. Julio Cortez

Khabib was screaming at Dana White for a title shot - during his fight

Unbeaten Khabib adamant that he should get next 155 shot at McGregor.

KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV MADE his feelings perfectly clear in the Octagon last night. He believes that he is next in line for a shot at Conor McGregor’s newly-acquired lightweight title.

“I want to fight your chicken,” Khabib told the Irish fans in Madison Square Garden last night after he mauled Michael Johnson in a terrifying display.

It took the Russian’s record to an unbeaten 24-0 and underlined his credentials as one of the leading contenders in the 155lbs division.

And the impatient Khabib couldn’t wait for the fight to finish before making his case to Dana White at cageside — he did it while he was grinding Johnson into submission.

“I was yelling at him, ‘Finish this fight first,’” White revealed after Saturday’s record-breaking New York card.

“Every round, he was screaming at me.

I get it. Understood. He wants a title shot, I get it. We’ll figure it out.

McGregor, who revealed that he and girlfriend Dee Devlin are expecting their first child next May, taunted Khabib’s injury record and branded him a ‘pull-out merchant.’

“He ain’t fighting too frequently for my liking. For me to commit to something like that, I need solid proof that people are going to show up and he’s a consistent pull-out merchant.

He had a good performance tonight, fair play to him. We’ll see where it goes but I need to see activity, I need to see consistency.
