CHARLTON ATHLETIC HAVE won the race to sign highly-rated defender Kevin Feely from Bohemians.
As expected, Bohs confirmed today the 20-year-old will move to the Championship side in the new year, ending a chase from a host of interested suitors including Premier League giants Everton.

The deal will go through when England’s transfer window opens again on 1 January.
Following a string of impressive performances at the back last season, Feely caught Charlton’s eye and was invited for two trials at the Valley.
Stoke City and Darren Ferguson’s Peterborough United also looked at him on trial while Everton, who already have Darron Gibson, Seamus Coleman and Shane Duffy on their books, were known to be keeping close tabs on his progress.
The move is not only a blow to Bohs and manager Aaron Callaghan but also to Athy GAA who lose one of their brightest young talents.
Feely was an important of the senior football panel again in 2012 as Athy’s defence of their Kildare county title ended in defeat to Carbury in the semi-finals.
