Kevin Doyle signs for Crystal Palace on loan

The Irish striker joined the Eagles just minutes before the transfer window closed.

IRELAND INTERNATIONAL KEVIN Doyle has signed for Crystal Palace on loan, the club have confirmed.

The Wexford native has been heavily linked with the club in recent hours, and it is understood he has signed with them until January.

Wolves manager Kenny Jackett earlier this summer said Doyle was not part of his plans , so the 30-year-old will be relieved to have secured a move just ahead of the transfer window’s closure.

Doyle spent last season on loan at QPR amid their successful Championship promotion campaign, but Harry Redknapp’s side opted not to make the deal permanent thereafter.

He is not the only Irish player to have switched clubs today, with Shane Duffy’s move to Blackburn also confirmed earlier.
