Kerry spring a surprise in defence ahead of Clare clash

Last year’s losing All-Ireland finalists make eight changes from that day.

KERRY MANAGER EAMONN Fitzmaurice has handed two players Munster senior football championship debuts ahead of their semi-final with Clare in Killarney on Sunday.

While Brian Ó Beaglaoich started Kerry’s league campaign, he missed the latter stages due to his involvement with the U21s.

Templenoe’s Tadhg Morley, however, has yet to be involved with the senior set-up though he does have minor, U21 and junior experience.

In total, the team shows five changes from the one that lost to Dublin in the Division I final earlier this year and eight from the XV who started against the same opposition last September.

Meanwhile Clare have named an unchanged side from the team that beat Limerick in the quarter-finals last month.

Throw-in Sunday is at 3.30pm.
