THE DRAW FOR this year’s Kerry senior football championship was made on Monday with holders, and All-Ireland champions, Dr. Crokes, facing Mid-Kerry in the first round.
The Killarney outfit will begin their championship defence on the weekend of 13 May, with seven other ties down for decision.
The championship will continue to run in the format first brought in last year, with the first round losers facing each other and the losing teams in those games exiting the competition.
Twelve-time winners Austin Stacks host St Kierans, while 2015 champions South Kerry will once again face Kerins O’Rahillys in the first round.

Elsewhere, Kenmare District’s quest to go one-better than last year will begin when they host Dingle.
