Kerry gold: watch Colm Cooper score a memorable goal in Kingdom club clash
WATCH: Colm Cooper isn’t happy with the structure of the intercounty season – but he’s keeping himself entertained by scoring goals like this in Kerry.
YESTERDAY IN DUBLIN, Kerry star Colm Cooper criticised the planning of intercounty fixtures throughout the summer, branding the schedule ‘ludicrous’.
More interestingly, 24 hours previously, he scored this beautiful goal for Crokes against Gneeveguilla as the Killarney side stepped-up their bid to defend the Bishop Moynihan Cup. (H/T Balls.ie)

Did someone say ‘steps’ though?
Speaking as a Lucozade ambassador in the capital on Monday, the Gooch expressed his disillusionment with the structure of a prolonged championship season.
He told reporters: “I think the season is very drawn out. The first game was Donegal and Antrim in May and I think there are too many gaps between games. Antrim lost and they don’t play until 25 June. It doesn’t make sense in my own mind. It’s nearly two months that they have to wait for another game which is crazy.
“Down are in a similar situation after losing to Armagh but I just think (the GAA) really have to look at the fixtures set-up. When you have a situation where you play your first round of the championship and don’t play again for two months it’s ludicrous.”
Kerry play All-Ireland champions Cork in the Munster SFC final at Fitzgerald Stadium in the first week of July – a month after their defeat of Limerick on 4 June.
