Ken Doherty is searching for Irish snooker's next superstar

‘Lucky Break’ begins on Setanta Ireland later this week.

KEN DOHERTY’S SEARCH for Irish snooker’s best young talent hits TV screens this week.

‘Lucky Break’ follows Doherty as he tries to unearth the game’s next star and help them to achieve their dream.

The winner will receive a year’s scholarship to train under the 1997 World Snooker Champion as well as a €1,000 prize.

“I didn’t have much talent but I worked hard, I grafted, I practiced hard,” Doherty explained.

“That’s someone that I will be looking for, that if you give them that opportunity they know the importance of it and they will try and seize it. They won’t waste it.”

Lucky Break begins on Setanta Ireland at 10pm on Wednesday. Watch the trailer here:
