Keith Fahey released by Birmingham on 'indefinite compassionate leave'

IRELAND MIDFIELDER Keith Fahey has been given permission by Birmingham City to return home to Dublin on ‘indefinite compassionate leave’.

The former St Pat’s man pulled out of Giovanni Trapattoni’s squad ahead of last night’s game with Greece, citing ‘flu.

Today, the Championship club revealed that manager Lee Clark had allowed Fahey to return to Ireland.
