The pair are close to becoming the country’s new management ticket with the Corkman in the No 2 role. ITV have confirmed that the pair will be in San Sebastian as part of their coverage of Manchester United’s Champions League with Real Sociedad.

Ireland face Latvia in a home friendly on Friday, 15 November and the FAI are understandably keen to have a new boss in place before that. An unveiling may take place as early as Monday in Dublin.
By coincidence, the pair are set to be on the sidelines next to Adrian Chiles in the Basque Country.
Bookmakers here this week stopped betting on O’Neill landing the job vacated by Giovanni Trapattoni. Keane has been out of a job in the game since he left Ipswich in 2011.
