Keano turned out for a charity game in aid of Cobh Community Hospital.

ROY  KEANE RETURNED to his former club Cobh Ramblers tonight, and he certainly appeared to enjoy the occasion.

The Manchester United legend was in town for a charity game at St Colman’s Park, which was being played in aid of Cobh Community Hospital.

Cobh Ramblers currently have a fine manager in Martin Cambridge, but there’s no doubting that Keano looked cosy on that bench.

Keane took in a game between a former Cobh Ramblers selection and Springfield FC, which featured past League of Ireland stars like Patsy Freyne and Michael Devine.

The Republic of Ireland assistant manager joined Cobh Ramblers in 1989 before being signed by Nottingham Forest a year later, and there were plenty of familiar old faces there to greet him in Cobh tonight.

As you’d expect, Roy’s presence caused quite a stir among the young fans in Cobh.
