VIDEO: Savea batters All Black teammate Dagg on his way to super try

Now Izzy knows how Fergus McFadden felt at Eden Park.

CRUSADERS AND HURRICANES served up an early morning Super Rugby treat in Wellington.

Four tries, including scores for Israel Dagg and Dan Carter, were not enough for the South Islanders to stave off a ‘Canes comeback and a 29-28 defeat.

Try of the match came courtesy of Hurricanes and All Black winger Julian Savea.

Savea, who scored a hat-trick of tries against Ireland on his New Zealand debut, went through Dagg, his international teammate, for a short-cut before diving over.

Carter had a chance to snatch a win for his team but pulled a last-minute drop goal attempt left and wide.
