Joyce set to boost Tribesmen after recovering from long-term injury

Padraic Joyce says he is almost ready to step back into the fray for Galway, and new manager Alan Mulholland.

PADRAIC JOYCE IS set to give the Galway footballers a massive boost, after he expressed his intention to extend his career after recovering from a serious Achilles injury.

The 34-year-old Tuam man’s career had been in doubt but he has revealed that the injury he suffered last year cleared up before Christmas, and he recently informed the team’s manager Alan Mulholland that he intends to return in the coming weeks.

Joyce has won two All-Ireland titles and six Connacht titles with the Tribesmen since bursting on to the scene as a 17-year-old in the 1994 All-Ireland MFC Final.
