SPECULATION ABOUT JONNY Sexton’s rugby future took another turn yesterday as Racing Métro confirmed that they have offered the Irish international a new four-year deal to stay in France.
Sexton is out of contract at the end of June and revealed this week that he is “pretty close” to making a decision on his future.
Leinster have made no secret of their desire to re-sign the out-half but Racing are not willing to give up without a fight.
“The deal is simple for him: either he stays and finishes his career here, or he returns to Ireland,” coach Laurent Labit said during a press briefing (AFP).

Sexton admitted this week that he is more settled after a year in Paris but following the birth of son Luca seven weeks ago, he and wife Laura could choose to return home to be closer to their families.
“We hope that he will stay especially as his son, as we have said to him, was born here and in 20 years will be the out-half for the French team,” Labit joked.
