Jonny Sexton's hamstring injury a worry for Joe Schmidt ahead of Boks test

The Racing Metro out half didn’t last the game at the weekend.

JONATHAN SEXTON HAS emerged as an injury doubt for Ireland’s clash with South Africa on Saturday.

The Racing Metro out half was subbed off at half-time in the defeat to Oyonnax at the weekend, with a suspected hamstring injury.

Ireland’s rugby stars are currently in camp at Carton House with manager Mick Kearney scheduled to face the press this lunchtime.

Ireland face the Springboks before their attention switches to Georgia and Australia this month.

I’m going on saturday, if Jonny isn’t we’re in trouble.

Oh god, I’d be worried starting Madigan, but it would be the opportunity of a lifetime for him, and I’d prefer him from the tee even if Sexton were playing.

Time to give Madigan a shot.
Schmidt has over relied on Sexton already.

Hopefully he is fit but an excellent opportunity for Madigan/Keatley if he doesn’t make it.

Would be far more worried starting Keately than Madigan on current form & this is coming from a Munster man. Although we have strong back up at 10.

If only we could fuse Keatley and Madigan into one perfect outhalf: Ian Madley
