Jones v Cormier rematch replaces McGregor fight on UFC 200 card

Dana White’s moved to end the controversy around the organisation’s landmark show.

IT’S OFFICIAL, THEN.  Conor McGregor will not feature on the UFC 200 card, barring more late drop outs or changes.

Organisation chiefs have revealed that a Jon Jones v Daniel Cormier rematch will headline the milestone show in Las Vegas.

McGregor, of course, was removed from the bill when he refused to fly to Nevada to promote his bout with Nate Diaz.

Jones returned to the octagon last weekend with an unimpressive win over Ovince Saint Preux.

He will now get the chance to unify the light-heavyweight title against Cormier.

The fight will be much-anticipated after the last meeting of the pair and build-up which was marked by bitter, public exchanges.

They were initially scheduled to fight last weekend at UFC 197 before Cormier pulled out injured.
