JON WALTERS HAS scored his second Premier League goal in as many games for Stoke but the Potters trail lowly Burnley 2-1 at the Britannia Stadium.
Stokeโs form has been indifferent this term and two goals in two minutes from Danny Ings stunned the hosts. However, Walters stooped to head home Bojanโs cross to bring Mark Hughesโ side back into the contest.
For what itโs worth, Walters is a regular on the score sheet for Stoke but has scored just five goals for Ireland. Is Martin OโNeill getting the best out of him or is he playing in the wrong position when in a green shirt?
Well heโs obviously not a winger which is where he mostly plays for Ireland
He is given hail mary balls where he has to win a punt or flick on somewhere 50 yards from goal . He does all The Wimbledon stuff asked of him though and never whinges .looks Proud to play for his country and a good pro.
Canโt fault the chaps commitment. Always gives it 110% in the Irish shirt. Some of his Irish teammates could take note
Heโll be in here after the game im sure. Legend he is
Hard work or not, the man lacks actual ability. The quicker MON gets away from route one footie, the more promising Irelandโs future will beโฆ Also we should be harassing the life out Curtis Davies to play for Ireland. Could use some decent CB who can move
