Today he’s neither. After being arrested on Monday night following his involvement in a hit-and-run accident on Sunday, Jones was stripped of his UFC light-heavyweight title and hit with an indefinite suspension from competition.

Jones reportedly fled the scene of the accident and a marijuana pipe and marijuana were found inside his rented vehicle. An arrest warrant was issued and the mixed martial arts star turned himself into police, before being released on bail.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell and MMAjunkie.com are now reporting that Reebok has terminated its sponsorship of the UFC’s top fighter. In a statement made to the MMA arm of USA Today, a Reebok spokesperson said: “In light of recent events, we’ve made the decision to terminate our contract with Jon Jones, effective immediately.”
Last September, Jones claimed that he had lost a six-figure contract with Nike after being involved in a brawl with his UFC 182 opponent Daniel Cormier during a press event to promote their bout.
The 27-year-old featured in an advertisement that was launched recently by Reebok.
Jones is accused of leaving the scene of an accident involving death or personal injuries, a felony charge that can carry a penalty of up to three years in prison.
