Johnathan Thurston puts his opponents into another parish with sublime show-and-go

That O’Driscoll fella wasn’t the only magician at work yesterday.

JOHNATHAN THURSTON IS arguably the best rugby league player ever — and last night he showed why.

Thurston was sublime as the North Queensland Cowboys came from 16-0 down to beat the Canberra Raiders, and capped his performance with a moment of magic that led to this try.

After a quick tap penalty Thurston raced clear and then completely flummoxed his opponents with a brilliant show-and-go, leaving a simple finish.

In the words of the commentator: “Sometimes he’s just so far ahead he’s lonely.”
