John O'Shea's dream week just keeps getting better and better

Sheasy gonna get paid!

I KNOW BEING a professional footballer means every week is probably pretty great, but the last couple of days still must be up there with the best of John O’Shea’s life.

First, he scored this great equaliser to get Ireland a memorable point against Germany.

Then he took this fly selfie on the team flight.

And now, Sunderland are rightly rewarding his midweek heroics with a new two year deal.

Don’t buy a Euromillions ticket, Sheasy. That would just be greedy.

How much? The price a football fan must pay to follow their team

No Euro qualification worries for Germany – Beckenbauer

So happy for him cause to be honest he hasn’t always been loved by the Irish and for a player with 100 caps he should be but now with that goal he will always be loved..

I think O’Shea has just completely reversed his public and professional image. Fair play to him. He’s always put in the hard work and is finally getting a bit of recognition for his commitment and strength. He’d have to go and do something completely ridiculous now to ruin it……

I always felt a times O’Shea can be very laboured in the pitch for both club and country and never really lived up to his potential he showed early on in his career at United but its never to late to shine in football and maybe this is the time now for O’Shea to really stand out

John was always an honest versatile player who would and did play in almost every position, even goalkeeper for his team. A great team player who deserves all the accolades he gets at long last. Well done.

Well it was a pretty important goal, he’s been pretty good for Ireland and Sunderland for the past few years and we’ll miss him when he’s gone.
