JOHNNY GILES LEFT Ger Gilroy speechless on Off The Ball last night. When asked what he feels Gareth Bale should do to regain some of his lost confidence the former Ireland footballer said “I would tell Ronaldo to ‘F’ off!”.
Gilroy was momentarily left lost for words before Giles continued:

“If he was intimidating him, which I think he is, I’d say to him ‘look I’m here to play football and now you ‘F’ off. I’m going to do my stuff on the pitch, if you like it you like it, if you don’t like it you don’t like it, tough.’”
The RTÉ pundit detailed how Ronaldo was failing to give the Welsh winger the same encouragement in the way he feels Lionel Messi has helped Neymar and Luis Suarez since they joined Barcelona.
“He’s getting the ball and he’s just passing it, playing it safe. That’s not his game, his game is to take people on” said the former Leeds midfielder.
Asked whether or not Bale could head back to the Premier League in the summer he said:
“They might sell him on the cheap. I wouldn’t be surprised if Manchester United came in for him, if they can get him at the right price.”
For a player having such a bad season, Bale has managed to score 17 goals and registered 10 assists in 40 appearances for Madrid this term.
