John Giles has told Leeds owner Massimo Cellino where to go

Cellino sacked manager Darko Milanic yesterday after just 32 days in charge.

JOHN GILES HAS urged Leeds United’s chronically impatient owner Massimo Cellino to sell up for the good of the club.

Cellino made headlines again for all the wrong reasons yesterday when he sacked manager Darko Milanic after just 32 days and six games in charge.

The Slovenian is the third Leeds manager to be dismissed by the controversial Cellino in the space of five months.

“I think the best thing he could do is get out of the club and make way for a new owner who could work in the best interests of the fans,” club legend Giles told BBC Radio 5 Live.

Milanic follows Brian McDermott and Dave Hockaday out the Elland Road door since Cellino’s arrival, leading Giles to brand the Italian’s HR strategy as “crazy.”

“I don’t know how many managers he has had since he came in, and I don’t know what he expects of the managers.

“There are no resources to get players in. He wants miracles, I think.

“Why don’t these owners become managers themselves? He might as well.”
