RISING IRELAND STAR Joey Carbery won’t be adding to his four international caps this summer after the 21-year-old was ruled out of the two upcoming Tests against Japan with an ankle injury.
The 21-year-old picked up the injury in Saturday’s victory against the US Eagles in New Jersey, a match that wasn’t going his way even before he was forced to leave the field with the ailment after 51 minutes.

Carbery had two kicks blocked down for tries and missed three conversions before his evening came to a premature end.
A subsequent scan has revealed the Leinster out-half/fullback will be out of action for four weeks, meaning he will be unavailable for the games against Japan on the next two Saturdays.
With Ulster’s Paddy Jackson linking up with the squad this week Ireland have a ready-made replacement for Carbery, and as it stands head coach Joe Schmidt won’t be calling up a replacement to the squad.
