Joey Barton chose Cork-Tipp over City-Newcastle today

Hurling vs Alan Pardew isn’t really a choice at all really

While Cork vs Tipperary never developed into the barn burner fans were hoping for, it at least drew one person away from today’s Premier League action.

Monsieur Joey Barton took time away from perfecting his bourgeoisie accent to remind people again, that he just loves some wristy hurling.

Barton’s comment was later retweeted by Tipperary captain Brendan Maher. Perhaps Eamon O’Shea might invite Joey Barton in to give a motivational speech before the All Ireland final. Just picture this speech in Barton’s work in progress French accent.
