JOE HART IS hoping to end his career at Manchester City as he closes in on a new five-year contract.
As reported by Goal earlier on Thursday, the goalkeeper and team-mate James Milner are poised to sign new long-term deals, with the England Number 1′s wages being upped to €152,000 a week.

The summer arrival of Willy Caballero threw Hart’s future at the Etihad Stadium in doubt but he has since re-established himself as Manuel Pellegrini’s first-choice keeper and is now concentrating on the future.
“As far as I am aware [the new contract] is pretty much sorted,” the 27-year-old told reporters. “I want to be here as long as I can.
“I love this place and I love everything about Manchester City,” he said. “I have been here for a long time. I feel like it is my club now.
“I am very happy at this club and hopefully in the near future I will be signing that contract.”
Hart joined City from Shrewsbury for £600,000 in 2006, going on to establish himself at international level before winning two Premier League titles with the club.
His current deal at the club expires in June 2016.
