SNAPSHOT: Striker celebrates breaking scoring record by... breaking a vinyl record

We can only hope the vinyl he snapped was a Richie Kavanagh effort and not an obscure, early Yardbirds jam session.

JOE GORMLEY SCORED HIS 37th goal of the season โ€” a club record โ€” to put his Cliftonville side 1-0 up against Linfield.

The Northern Irish striker celebrated his record-breaking exploit by grabbing hold of a [conveniently located] vinyl record and snapping it in two. Nice touch. Bizarre but nice.

Just before kick-off, a crew of Belfast firefighters were called to the Redsโ€™ home ground to water the parched all-weather [4G] pitch. Itโ€™s all going off in the Danske Bank Premiership.

Cliftonville werenโ€™t playing linfield today, it was glenavon! They won 5-0, so theyโ€™re now 3 points ahead of Linfield at the top of the league
