THE DETAILS AND title of the hotly anticipated Jim McGuinness autobiography have been unveiled ahead of its release this October.
The book is titled Until Victory Always and in a blurb on Amazon, it promises that the All-Ireland winning manager will ‘reveal what life was like inside the Donegal camp.’
“This is the story,” the description continues, “of how he combined a unique vision and ferocious drive to create a powerful and disciplined team that bucked history and defied every expectation.
“McGuinness sent a shockwave through Gaelic games by devising an approach which polarised opinion and forced fans, players and managers alike to look at the game differently. From the outside, what Donegal were doing appeared mysterious, dark and fearsome.”
You can curl up under a blanket defence and read Until Victory Always from 23 October.
After the atrocity that occurred in Croker back then, a commemorative event is very appropriate. It’s good to know nothing like that will happen again but we should never forget those who made our history.
