Hendrick started last month’s win over Gibraltar and provided the assist for John O’Shea’s equaliser in Gelsenkirchen after coming on a second-half substitute.
With Wes Hoolahan already ruled out, Darron Gibson struggling for fitness and Glenn Whelan unlikely to recover from a broken leg in time, O’Neill could do worse than selecting Hendrick in the engine room for the Group D qualifier in Glasgow.
